Sam Choy, Hawaii’s Culinary Ambassador.
The title of “Hawaii’s Culinary Ambassador” was bestowed by the mayor of the Big Island. Chef Choy prefers to call himself, “a local boy who made it good.” A four-time nominee of the James Beard Best Pacific Chef Award, Sam also walked away with the honor of “The Official Best Chef of the Jawaiian Epicurean Feast.” After tasting his many recipes, we can attest to the fact this was an honor well deserved. Sam has restaurants in Hawaii, Guam and Japan. He also hosts a Hawaiian cooking show, Sam Choy’s Kitchen, and has authored several cookbooks.
